Cambria Bathroom Remodeling: The Long Beach Owner’s Guide

A full Cambria bathroom remodel in Long Beach typically runs $9,000 to $28,000 installed, depending on the size of the bathroom, the Cambria slab you choose, and how much plumbing or structural work is involved. If you’re dealing with a cracked Cambria vanity top, a failing undermount sink bond, or water damage behind a Cambria shower surround, we stock the materials and can usually rough-in and finish most Cambria-specific replacements within a week once the slab is templated. You’ll know the part failed when you see hairline cracks radiating from the faucet holes, silicone peeling where the Cambria meets the sink, or dark staining along the seams that doesn’t wipe away.

Which Cambria Models This Applies To

Cambria is a quartz surface brand, not a cabinet or fixture manufacturer, so the “part” in a Cambria bathroom is usually the vanity top, shower walls, bench, or tub deck. That said, we regularly work with the full Cambria design palette: Brittanica, Torquay, Whitehall, Ella, and the warmer Skara Brae and Portrush series. The key identification step is the edge profile, not the color. Cambria slabs are fabricated to a specific thickness, usually 2 cm or 3 cm, and the edge profile (eased, half-bullnose, ogee) tells us whether the existing piece was fabricated locally or came through a specific Cambria fabricator. Measure the exposed edge. 2 cm slabs almost always sit on a plywood subdeck and use a laminated edge build-up; 3 cm slabs sit directly on cabinets. That matters for replacement, because the new piece needs to match the overhang and the drain reveal exactly. For OEM replacement, you’re buying through a Cambria-certified fabricator, which is what we do. There’s no true “aftermarket” Cambria slab, but there are quartz lookalikes from other manufacturers that will not match under bathroom lighting. Don’t do that. It’ll be visibly wrong at the corner of the splash.

Signs Your Cambria Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing

  • Cracks radiating from the faucet holes or drain opening. This is almost always from over-tightening the faucet or drain assembly during install, or from thermal shock if someone ran the hot tap hard on cold quartz. Cambria is tough, but point-loading at the faucet is a known failure point.
  • Silicone peeling or lifting along the backsplash seam. Water wicks behind the splash, and in Long Beach’s coastal humidity, that means mildew behind the slab within a few months. Recaulking alone rarely fixes it if the adhesive bed has softened.
  • Dark staining along seams that won’t clean off. That’s usually not a cleaning problem. It’s water or soap scum working into a failed seam adhesive. The seam needs to be opened, cleaned, and re-bonded, or the piece replaced.
  • A sunken or separated undermount sink. The sink bowl starts dropping a quarter inch from the Cambria deck. The adhesive bond has failed. If the sink is still supported by a proper steel rail or wood cleat, you have time. If not, replace the bowl before it drops on the pipes.
  • Hazy or etched spots that feel rough to the touch. Real Cambria doesn’t etch the way marble does, so roughness usually means the original slab was sealed incorrectly or someone cleaned it with an abrasive that wore through the polish. You can’t polish it back at home.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

For Long Beach, a Cambria-specific bathroom remodel runs $9,000 to $28,000 installed. A single vanity top replacement runs between $2,000 and $6,500, which matches the countertop work we do across the city. The spread comes down to slab grade, edge work, whether we’re moving plumbing, and whether the old piece is a simple top or part of a full shower surround. Every job gets a written price before we start, a line-item breakdown, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing. If something from our work fails inside a year, we fix it at no charge. No change orders, no surprise invoices.

Cambria Bathroom Work Typical Installed Range (Long Beach)
Vanity top replacement (2cm, eased edge) $2,000 – $4,500
Vanity top replacement (3cm, ogee edge) $3,500 – $6,500
Full bathroom remodel with Cambria surfaces $9,000 – $28,000
Small bathroom remodel (under 40 sq ft) $5,000 – $12,000
Walk-in shower with Cambria walls $4,500 – $12,000

DIY or Call Us?

If the issue is loose silicone or a faucet that wiggles, a careful homeowner can disassemble and reseat the fixture. But cracking, seam separation, and sink debonding in a Cambria slab are not weekend fixes. Quartz is silicon dioxide; cutting it dry throws silica dust that will wreck your lungs, and the polishing compounds are not something you’ll find at the Long Beach Home Depot. The wrong adhesive underneath a slab, especially in our humidity swing between June gloom and Santa Ana dry, will fail within a season. Luca Romano has seen homeowner band-aids turn a $4,000 top replacement into a $12,000 full vanity rebuild. “The work tells you everything. The rest is just talking.” Call (562) 512-6480 and let us price the fix before you pick up a grinder.
