Tremron Kitchen Remodeling: The Long Beach Owner’s Guide
If you’ve got a Tremron kitchen and you’re searching for a remodeling partner in Long Beach who actually knows the product, here’s the short answer: a full Tremron kitchen remodel in Long Beach typically runs $14,000 to $45,000 installed, depending on cabinet layout, countertop stone, and how much of the existing kitchen has to come out before the new one goes in. We stock Tremron-compatible cabinet hardware, hinge systems, drawer slides, and installation components on our trucks, so most replacement work starts the day we arrive. You’ll usually discover the problem the way most homeowners do: a drawer that suddenly drags, a cabinet door that won’t stay closed, or a countertop seam that’s started to separate after years of Long Beach salt air.
We’re an independent Long Beach remodeling contractor, not a Tremron dealer or affiliate. That means we tell you straight when a part should be replaced with an OEM Tremron component and when a quality aftermarket equivalent does the same job for less.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron’s kitchen cabinetry lines share common hardware footprints, but there are two compatibility gotchas worth knowing before you order anything. First, Tremron’s full-overlay cabinets use a different hinge plate than their standard-overlay lines. The full-overlay plates mount at 37mm, standard at 26mm. If you swap in the wrong plate, the door sits proud of the face frame by about an eighth of an inch and nothing lines up. Second, Tremron changed drawer slide spacing in 2018. Pre-2018 boxes need side-mount slides; post-2018 boxes are drilled for under-mount. The stamp on the slide bracket tells you which you’ve got: look for a three-digit code starting with 4 for side-mount, 5 for under-mount.
For countertops, Tremron kitchens in Long Beach frequently paired with quartz slabs cut to standard 3cm thickness. If your slab measures 2cm, you’re likely looking at an aftermarket countertop from a prior owner, not the original Tremron spec. We can match either. For OEM hardware, we order direct from Tremron’s distribution network, which takes three to five business days to Long Beach. For same-day work, we keep Blume and Salice equivalents on the truck. They match Tremron’s bore patterns exactly and carry the same weight rating.

Signs Your Tremron Kitchen Is Failing
- Drawer slides that catch halfway. The ball bearing races inside Tremron’s pre-2018 side-mount slides wear unevenly in coastal air, especially in homes near Alamitos Bay. When the nylon tire on the middle race flattens, the drawer feels like it’s grinding over gravel. That’s a slide replacement, not a drawer problem.
- Cabinet doors that drift open on their own. Tremron’s soft-close hinges rely on a small hydraulic piston inside the hinge cup. When that piston blows its seal (usually around year seven to ten in Long Beach humidity), the door loses its hold and swings loose. One failing hinge puts strain on the jamb side hardware, so it’s worth fixing early.
- Countertop seam separation near the sink or dishwasher. Quartz doesn’t absorb water, but the adhesive at the seam does break down under repeated heat-and-moisture cycles. If you can fit a fingernail into the seam, water is getting underneath, and that leads to substrate swelling. Long Beach’s hard water accelerates the mineral buildup that widens the gap.
- Soft-close drawers that slam shut. If the soft-close mechanism isn’t catching, the damper clip has usually snapped off the drawer box rear. It’s a $12 part. But if you ignore it, the drawer box takes the impact every time and the dovetail joints start to loosen.
- Hinges that squeak even after tightening. Squeaking that doesn’t go away with a screwdriver means the hinge knuckle has worn out of round. Oil won’t fix it. The hinge arm’s pivot pin is wallowed out, and you’re hearing metal on metal. Replacement is the fix.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Let’s put numbers on the board. A full Tremron kitchen remodel in Long Beach runs $14,000 to $45,000. Smaller galley kitchens with stock Tremron or compatible cabinetry land at the lower end. Larger L-shaped or island kitchens with 3cm quartz, soft-close everything, and new fixtures push toward the top. Here’s the breakdown:
- Cabinet installation (Tremron or compatible): $4,000 – $13,000
- Countertop installation: $2,000 – $6,500
- Backsplash installation: $800 – $2,500
- Kitchen island installation: $3,000 – $10,000

DIY or Call Us?
Cabinet hardware replacement is generally safe to attempt. You can tighten hinge plates, swap a damper clip, or re-seat a drawer slide without special tools. But be real with yourself about what you’re signing up for. Tremron full-overlay cabinets use adjustable hinges with three planes of movement. If you don’t get all three dialed back to spec, every door on the run looks off. Countertop seam repair is a different conversation: the adhesive we use is two-part epoxy that has to be mixed, placed, and clamped with a vacuum seam setter. Get it wrong and you’ve got a lumpy seam that collects dirt forever. Call (562) 512-6480 and we’ll take a look. Estimates are free.
FAQs

Tremron’s soft-close hinges typically last 7 to 10 years in Long Beach before the hydraulic piston fails. Coastal humidity and salt air shorten that lifespan compared to inland homes. If you’re past year seven and doors are drifting open, budget for hinge replacement. Call (562) 512-6480 for an exact quote on your cabinet count.
No. Once the internal damper piston loses its seal, there’s no rebuild option for Tremron hinges. The hinge body is riveted shut. We replace the hinge assembly, not the piston. The good news: we stock Blume and Salice equivalents on the truck, so the swap is same-day in Long Beach.
Most hinge and slide replacements take two to four hours for a standard 10-cabinet kitchen. If you need a full cabinet door re-hang with new hardware throughout, plan for a full day. We’ll give you a written time estimate before we start, with live arrival tracking under The Relay Standard.
We stock compatible replacement hardware on the truck for same-day Long Beach service. For OEM Tremron-specific components, we order direct from Tremron distribution, which takes three to five business days. We’ll tell you if aftermarket is appropriate or if you should stick with OEM.
