Meet the Long Beach Team Behind Sawyer Remodel Long Beach
We’re a Long Beach crew that’s been swinging hammers and setting tile here since 2005. Some of us grew up in the LBC, others landed here and never left. What ties us together is simple: we show up when we say we will, we do the work the right way, and we don’t leave until it’s right. Every person on this page works under The Relay Standard, which means a written price before work starts, live arrival time tracking, and photo updates as the job moves. No mystery crews. No vague timelines. Just real people you’ll recognize when they knock on your door.

Our People

Luca Romano, Owner
Luca founded Sawyer Remodel Long Beach in 2005 after working his way through framing crews and finish carpentry jobs across Southern California. He’s the one who answers the phone half the time and still walks every job site before the final invoice goes out. His specialty is catching what other people miss, whether that’s a shower pan slope that drains wrong or a contract clause that’s too vague to hold up. He’s the reason every project gets a written price before work starts and a 365-Day Done Right Promise after it ends. When he’s not on a job, he’s usually fixing something at his own house, which his wife says never ends.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with Sawyer Remodel since 2011 and has run more than 400 bathroom remodels in Long Beach, from Belmont Shore bungalows to Alamitos Heights mid-centuries. He’s certified in Schluter waterproofing systems and is the guy who makes sure your shower pan won’t leak into the living room three years from now. Marcus keeps a level in his truck that belonged to his grandfather, who was a finish carpenter in San Pedro. If you ask him about it, he’ll tell you the story and then check your door frame for plumb before he leaves.
Elena R., Senior Installer
Elena joined the crew in 2016 and handles tile, stone, and the finish work that most people only see in magazines. She’s installed countertops from Cambria and Caesarstone, set Kohler and Toto fixtures, and laid tile patterns that started as napkin sketches from a homeowner. Elena is known on the team for her patience with hexagon tile and her refusal to let a grout line go crooked, even behind a toilet nobody will ever look at. She grew up in Long Beach and still gets annoyed when people call it LA. We don’t blame her.
Dev P., Service Coordinator
Dev is the voice on the phone and the person who sends you the live arrival time before we show up. He’s been coordinating schedules and material deliveries for Sawyer Remodel since 2019, which means he knows exactly what time the Cambria slab truck is hitting the 405 and whether it’ll make it to Naples before noon. Dev keeps the photo updates flowing and makes sure the digital invoice lands in your inbox with the same number you approved before we started. Off the clock, he’s a cyclist who will happily tell you the best bike route from Downtown Long Beach to Signal Hill.
One Standard, Every Job
We’re part of the Relay Home Co. family of independent local businesses, but the crew you see on this page is the crew you get in Long Beach, not a rotating cast from somewhere else. Every project runs on The Relay Standard, which is our name for the way work should work: you know who’s coming, you know when they’ll arrive, and you know what it costs before a single tool comes off the truck. The written price is not an estimate that drifts upward. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is not a verbal pledge. It’s in writing, and it means if something isn’t done right, we make it right, for a full year after the project closes. Marcus, Elena, Dev, and Luca are the ones who back that promise with their work. Call (562) 512-6480 and you’ll talk to a real person, not a voicemail loop.
